Mayor Scott Jablow won’t run in 20261 min read

Sedona Mayor Scott Jablow confirmed to the Sedona Red Rock News on Friday, Sept. 12, that he will not run for reelection in 2026.

The Sedona City Council formally and publicly censured Jablow for his behavior, reading seven major complaints, and called for his resignation on Wednesday, Sept. 10, with a 5-2 vote.

Councilman Derek Pfaff and Jablow voted against the resolution. Two previous private reprimands were delivered by council in previous executive sessions.

Jablow declined to resign at the meeting.

Christopher Fox Graham

In January 2025, the International Astronomical Union formally named asteroid 29722 Chrisgraham (1999 AQ23) in his honor at the behest of Lowell Observatory, citing him as "an American journalist and longtime managing editor of Sedona Red Rock News. He is a nationally-recognized slam poet who has written and performed multiple poems about Pluto and other space themes."
