Thron Riggs
1921 — 2015

Thron Riggs, 94, formerly of Sedona, died recently in Tempe.

After retiring, he moved to Sedona where he was active in community services and affairs. He served as mayor of Sedona from 1992 to 1996; chaired the Sedona Planning and Zoning Commission and the Board of Directors of the Sedona Cultural Park during its early years; and served as president of the Sedona Arts Center.

He is survived by his wife, Iva; four children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
