Yavapai County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and Partners Against Narcotics Trafficking raided two Cornville homes March 18, arresting Raymond Holguin, 51, and Marc Morris, 57 — who are allegedly tied to the theft of about $60,000 worth of belongings.

Police also reportedly seized methamphetamine, psilocybin mushrooms and several loaded firearms.

A woman, who was not identified, was also arrested on drug-related charges and a warrant.

“SWAT served warrants at residences on Clatterbuck Drive and Storey Drive. At the Storey Drive location, detectives recovered property belonging to the victim and arrested 51-year-old Holguin. At the Clatterbuck Drive residence, investigators seized methamphetamine and psilocybin mushrooms,” YCSO Public Affairs Officer Paul Wick wrote. “Morris was arrested after leaving that residence, and a female subject was also taken into custody on an outstanding probation violation warrant.”

The investigation began in February after a victim reported that two movers she hired in early January to transport her belongings from Utah to Scottsdale had reportedly diverted the trip to Cornville.

While there, YCSO alleges that the suspects allegedly broke the locks on the U-Haul and stole approximately $60,000 worth of her property.

“Both Holguin and Morris face several felony charges related to the January theft,” Wick wrote. “Additionally, Morris was arrested on weapons and drug charges, while the female suspect was arrested for drug-related offenses.”

This is an ongoing investigation.

Wick did not respond to follow-up questions about the Boston Dynamics Spot robot, and YCSO’s capacities with that technology.

“Interstate movers are required to register with the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration and have a U.S. DOT number,” according to the Arizona Attorney General. “You can confirm the mover’s registration by checking the FMCSA website at fmsca.dot.gov or by calling the FMCSA at (202) 385-2423.”
