Public survey on Gateway mailed out

Sedona residents are now being asked to weigh in on the future development of the 41-acre Western Gateway property — including whether they support a $21.9 million proposal by Sedona Cultural Park 2.0 to restore the site’s 5,550-seat outdoor amphitheater.

The survey is currently going out to registered voters in Sedona city limits after Sedona City Council finalized Phoenix-based HighGround Inc.’s mailer in mid-March.

The firm began distributing it the week of March 16.

Each voter received a direct-mail piece with a unique QR code. HighGround may conduct follow-up calls or texts the week of March 30 to encourage responses before the survey closes.

City Manager Anette Spickard is scheduled to present the results to Sedona City Council on Tuesday, April 28
