Born April 18, 1932, in St. Louis, Frank Mead Metcalf died at his home in Sedona on Nov. 14.

Metcalf was predeceased by his parents Ralph and Jinny, sisters Judy and Lucy and his first wife Joan Higbie.

He is survived by his wife Diane, niece Laurie [Mark] Voegeli, nephew Chris Hecker, stepchildren Kim Higbie, Kyle [Jen] Laughlin, Kelly [Aaron] Bryant, three great nieces and grandchildren.

A celebration of life is planned for April 18, 2026, at the Wheeler Opera House in Aspen, Colorado.
