Nevada woman dies in pickup truck crash near Midgley Bridge1 min read

An accident near Midgley Bridge resulted in the death of a woman after her pickup truck was discovered at the bottom of the ravine.

According to Sgt. Michael Dominguez, of the Sedona Police Department, officers were dispatched to the vehicle in the ravine around 1:03 p.m. on Friday, March 20. 

“A subject could be seen inside the vehicle but was not moving,” Dominguez said. 

This deceased person was later identified as Celeste Quinto, following notification of next of kin. Dominguez said a Nevada drivers license was found in the vehicle.

Quinto was reportedly a resident of Las Vegas and a mother of two.

Quinto was transported to the Coconino County Medical Examiner’s Office to determine a cause, manner and time of death.

“The cause of the collision is undetermined at this time,” Dominguez said. “Once the medical examiner has completed the examination, we will have more information.”

In addition to SPD, Coconino County Sheriff’s Office deputies and Sedona Fire District crews arrived at the scene.
