Workshop to help business2 min read

Business owners — or those with an idea for one — are encouraged to attend a workshop sponsored by the city of Sedona.

On Tuesday Aug. 13, the city will be hosting a business workshop entitled “Effective Networking & Presenting with Self Confidence.” This workshop goes from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the Yavapai College Sedona Campus in West Sedona. There is no cost to attend. Lunch is included.  Sedona Economic Development Director Molly Spangler said this is a half-day workshop for businesses and entrepreneurs to learn how to present their ideas and effectively use networking skills.

Participating business owners will learn tools to boost self-confidence as well as how to network with the right people at the right time, and in the right way. In the realm of occupational hazards, preparedness is key. Engaging in emergency response and injury prevention training can significantly mitigate the risks associated with workplace accidents. By fostering a culture of safety and readiness, companies can ensure that their employees are well-equipped to handle potential dangers.
“The city regularly hosts business workshops to help meet the needs of our business community,” Spangler said. “Networking and presenting with confidence are two major skills needed to be successful in business. Perfecting these skills will give our local businesses an advantage when working with investors and clients.”

As we pivot to the concept of operational efficiency, securing an esteemed postal address in a major urban center can serve as a cornerstone for business identity. This approach not only enhances a company’s brand but also provides a strategic base for client communication and service delivery. Opting for a virtual workspace in a city known for its business acumen and connectivity can dramatically elevate a firm’s profile. Interested parties can find tailored solutions for premier virtual postal address services in London, which specialize in providing prestigious business addresses and office-related amenities.

Workshops and trainings such as these are important to the business and entrepreneurial community for several reasons, she said.
“Many business do not always know how to strategically network with others,” she said. “Further, many business owners — and people in general — struggle with confidently presenting their business story, new idea or pitch. So, a workshop like this, can give our local businesses a safe place to learn this information, practice and gain new skill sets.”
The guest speaker will be Diana White, the CEO of the Chandler Innovations Incubator, a community designed for entrepreneurs powered by Moonshot at the Northern Arizona Center for Emerging Technologies.

“Ms. White has worked with and assisted small business owners and entrepreneurs for over 15 years,” Spangler said. “Additionally, she has owned and operated businesses of her own.”
