Mary Linda Stone, of Oak Creek Canyon, died April 29.

She was Arizona’s first weather woman on KPHO. She was an actor, announcer, writer and friend.

She is survived by her nephew Robert Mattison. Special thanks go to her neighbors and church members who helped her in battling cancer.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, May 12, at 11 a.m. at Wayside Bible Chapel.
