Hassan Karimi Hosseini, Ph.D., 75, was born in Mashhad, Iran, Nov. 22, 1950 and died at his Sedona home on May 8.

He was the middle son of Ahmad Karimi Hosseini and Zahra Shahidi.

Surviving him is his wife, Charlotte; daughter, Leila [John]; brothers, Hossein [Soheila] and Abbas; two nieces and two nephews: Davood [Sahar], Hanieh, Sarah and Kevin [Gabby]; and grandnephew, Thomas.

Burial services were private but a celebration of life will be held in Sedona at a later date. Remembrances in his name may be made to the Red Rock Trails Fund or to the Democrats of the Red Rocks.
