Sedona Police Department officers were dispatched to a residence in the 2400 block of Whippet Way at Page Parkway on the afternoon of Thursday, Oct. 22, for a barricaded woman in a behavioral health incident.

“[A] third party contacted police after [the] female did not show up for appointment,” the SPD briefing report reads. “It was advised the female had been making suicidal statements. While en route to the location the female contacted dispatch stating she was in the home and had taken pills.”

At 4:10 p.m., the woman was told to exit the residence with her hands above her head over a SPD loudspeaker, according to a neighbor, and SFD was clear of the scene at 4:30 p.m.

The woman “was transported to the hospital by Sedona Fire [District] for medical attention and mental health evaluation,” SPD wrote.
