Frank William Betz, 99, a Sedona resident for 45 years, died Sept. 3.

Born on Sept. 21, 1926, in Camden, New Jersey, he served in the U.S. Navy on the USS Furse [DD-882] from 1943 to 1945.

In 1981, he moved to Sedona with his wife, Mary Lousie and opened three businesses in town and Tlaquepaque.

He is survived by his daughter Diane; son-in-law Barry; grandson Barry Kevin; granddaughter Cari, great-granddaughters, Faith, Hope, Tiahna, Grace, Aravay and Lennox.
