Frederick “Fred” Franklin Shinn, born in Chicago to Frederick and Frances Shinn, died on April 5.
Shinn was married to Joy Kukla Shinn for 53 years until her death on Jan. 31, 2011.
He is survived by his partner, Terrie Frankel of Sedona; daughter, Debra Shinn of Sedona; son, Kurt Shinn of Minneapolis; and grandsons, Maxwell and Mason Shinn. He is also survived by his in-laws, Stan and Celeste Kukla, and Kris and George Harrison.
Shinn will be interned at the Sedona Community Cemetery where he helped establish a columbarium honoring veterans and first-responders.
Funeral Mass and Reception to follow will be at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Friday, May 29, at 10 a.m.
