Jacquelyn Wells Hornberger, 87, of Sedona, died March 8.

Born in Pueblo, Colo., she taught elementary school in Oak Park and Libertyville, Ill., for 35 years before retiring to Sedona with her husband. She was active in the Church of the Red Rocks and White Eagle Lodge.

She is survived by her husband, Walter; son, W. Scott [Kristen]; grandson, Zachary; and nieces, Sue and Christy.

A celebration of life will be held in Libertyville, Ill., in June.
