Helen Gladys Mueller, of Sedona, died Jan. 2.

After teaching high school and running a financial planning service in Santa Rosa, Calif., she moved to Sedona in 1995 and built a home in the Chapel area.

An enthusiastic traveler and a student of Buddhism, she was a member of the Sedona Westerners Hiking Club and volunteered at the Sedona Public Library.

She is survived by her daughters, Susan and Cathy.
