Dixie Carlson, 89, of Sedona, died Dec. 1.
She was an ambulance driver/volunteer EMT for the Sedona Fire District, served on the board of directors of the Elks Lodge and SFD, and was active with the Area Agency on Aging, Sedona Chamber of Commerce Visitor Center, Sedona Heritage Museum and Northern Arizona Retired Nurses in Action organization.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John.
She is survived by her son, Richard Carlson; stepsister, Metta Holman; companion, Glenn Smith; and many friends.
