“It is with a mix of sadness and gratitude that the Board of Directors announces the departure of Vince Fazio as Executive Director of the Sedona Arts Center. We have been fortunate to have a leader with passion, creative vision and strong business acumen to be at the helm of our organization the past three years. Under his leadership we have experienced growth across the full spectrum of the Arts Center’s many dimensions, including the Fine Art Gallery, School and Special Events.” —Sedona Arts Center Board of Directors

Vince spent 17 years as the Director of our School of the Arts, many years as chair of our Sedona Plein Air Festival and was Director of all Programing and Operations prior to assuming the role of Executive Director three years ago.

Vince Fazio’s background in the arts began with a year at an Academia for the Arts in Bergamo, Italy, directly after high school. With this exposure and validation as a young artist, it was natural for him to continue in the arts. He furthered his studies upon returning to the states with four years in New York City at The National Academy of Design and the Arts Student League of New York. He earned his MFA from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas.

Vince brought his own artistic vision to the Arts Center initiating the program of workshops with nationally known artists that has grown to be a strong component of the school and a viable income stream for the artists and the center.

“I have deeply enjoyed all the different roles I have played working at the Sedona Arts Center especially these last three years. The staff and board all have deep ownership of their roles and have become true experts in all that they do.” says Vince Fazio.

Vince’s last day in the office will be July 17th but he will continue to serve as ED remotely, after relocating to Florida to spend time with his father, until his replacement is hired. To say that Vince embodies the spirit and soul of our organization is an understatement and we wish him well as he journeys to his next adventure.
