On Christmas evening, the roof of the batting cage on the upper field at Posse Grounds Park buckled under the weight of the snow built up during the snowfall on Dec. 23 and 24.

According to the Sedona Parks and Recreation department, the last time it collapsed was in 2012.

The department is collecting quotes for the repairs, but the process will take some time because of the insurance process, according to Parks and Recreation Manager Rachel Murdoch.

The goal is to have the batting cage fixed in time for the start of Little League, in March.
