Leland Li-chung Chou, 90, of Sedona, died Nov. 4.

Born in Tientsin, China, he founded an after-school program for at-risk elementary school children in North Carolina.

He is survived by his wife, Lily; sons Philip and Leon; granddaughters Maggie and Londyn; brother Lida Zhou; sister Liming Li; and nieces and nephews.

A memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 5, at Sedona United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers, donations are suggested to the church.
