Geez Louise, caught in a retrograde again. If you think you’ve gone over things again and again, that was Mercury (thinking) retrograde (going back), now done. La dee dah!
Wait, peeps, now Venus will be doing that with our love, beauty, and our finances. (Do not get any cosmetic surgery during these dates.) Yep, about June 21 the shadow of Venus retrograde begins.
Imagine Venus moving forward, as usual, then seemingly slowing and stopping to go back and take another look, in the area of the sky where she had just traveled (the shadow). We’ll be more in touch with what is happening in our heart and crave being in balance.
She only does this once every one-and-a-half, to two years. Relationship and money issues come surging up for everyone, no one escapes.
Money can potentially slow down, but I always suggest using the time pro-actively, positively, for re-connecting with previous paying customers. Or offer a discount. Do it from your heart.
Love can unwind or be seriously given lots of effort by all willing to make things stronger and better.
At the very least we’ll be visiting issues surrounding love. What is love? Do I love myself? Really? Does s/he love me?
Well, DO you love them? Or not. Who loves who? Which relationships will be retired and let go, and who might return from the past? Or past life. Which couples will separate now then come back more in love and determined to maintain its healthy glow.
Love is complex. Respect. Listen to each other, Hear each other. Listen deeper to get to the root. People NEED to feel heard. Who is helping you listen deeper to yourself?
We cannot fill anyone’s empty hole. That is what your local therapist, spiritual mentor or healer can facilitate. If a nurturer, be careful not to sacrifice your nervous system as the ransom to help another. Love yourself.
Attention. Where is your attention? Have you ignored a situation that could use bettering? Are you getting to know your co-workers more than the one you love, you giving your worst at home in dirty clothes, venting frustration, or viewing various screens while typing all night?
Retrograde times force us to look at reality and gauge what is appropriate and working, and what is unacceptable.
If an old flame returns, it could be to finish up a connection and douse the flame for good, remembering why you didn’t give it value before. If you and they are spiritually healthy, maybe restart it, just be in constant awareness of where it is going and why, because venus is retrograde. Love connections made during the retrograde may only have a short shelf life.
Money doesn’t trump loving. The value of the dollar cannot compare to a healthy loving heart and soul. If you’ve invested a lot of time and hard work into building a relationship, would you decide to stay solely because of the invested time?
The shadow starts effecting us about June 21, she goes retrograde the third week in July, on the 25th, but the shadow itself is all part of the big pot of soup we’ll be stirring.
She doesn’t come out of retrograde until Sept. 6. Quite a long time, folks, so tread lightly on your heart. Awareness is everything. It’s all meant for good. Are you ready to be a beautifully-hearted person, self-created during venus retro?
Geez, if we didn’t stop to fix a flat tire, eventually it ruins the wheel and then we’re certainly not able to get anywhere.

Take car trips singing to the radio and stop at shops along the way. Be cell phone savvy and extra cautious. Doing too many things and thinks, can tip over the balance of the natural living order.
