With hundreds of miles worth of mountain biking trails in and around Sedona, it makes sense that a bike skills park has been on the wishlist of many for several years.

Now it’s becoming a reality.

But first, it must go through the proper city channels, which will include a community meeting Monday, Jan. 26, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the City Council chambers located at Sedona City Hall.

The public is invited to come and see three different concept designs for this park. Representatives from the design firm Stantec, in partnership with the International Mountain Biking Association, will be on hand to answer questions and record public comment. Those in attendance will be able to give feedback on the designs that will be considered in the final decision-making process.

“We’re hoping the public weighs in and gives us their feedback as to what they like best,” Parks and Recreation Manager Rachel Murdoch said.
