Actress Naomi Watts makes a brief appearance in Sedona on Thursday, Feb. 27, to join Kathleen Glynn, a Sedona International Film Festival board member for “Filmmaker Conversations” at Mary D. Fisher Theatre. She talked about AIDS awareness in Africa. Stefanie Powers and Mariel Hemingway also talked about using their fame to benefit the world in humanitarian efforts.

Patrick Schweiss summed it up best.

“It’s like having ‘Charlie’s Angels’ up here on stage,” said Schweiss, executive director of the Sedona International Film Festival.

His comment came in reference to a trio of actresses — Stefanie Powers, Mariel Hemingway and Naomi Watts —  who took part in a Thursday, Feb. 27, workshop titled “Acting into Activism: Using Fame and Celebrity to Do Good” at the Mary D. Fisher Theater.
