An East Coast tennis professional has brought his tennis teaching skills to Sedona.

Jeffrey Cooper, a professional through the Professional Tennis Registry’s comprehensive certification test, has 25 years of experience teaching private and group lessons to players of all ages, as well as running junior development programs.

Cooper teaches tennis programs to beginners of all ages at Posse Grounds Park on Mondays and Wednesdays.He isn’t just a professional of the game; he’s a professional of the scientific aspects of the game.

Cooper has paired up with the city of Sedona Parks and Recreation Department to provide a quality tennis program for beginners of all ages. Cooper offers both private and group lessons.

“Private doesn’t mean just one person,” Cooper said. “I’ve had one to four, sometimes six people come.”

Cooper also runs the Fit Kids Tennis Program at Posse Grounds Park.

While his lessons cover all of the basic scopes and tactics, such as strokes, footwork and singles and doubles play, Cooper adds the element of science.
