Rosa Koire calls Agenda 21 ‘public relations scam’1 min read

Rosa Koire didn’t mince her words when expressing her feelings about Agenda 21.

“It’s the biggest public relations scam of the 21st century,” she said.

Koire, the executive director of the Post Sustainability Institute, spoke before more than 150 people Wednesday, June 5, on the Northern Arizona University campus in Flagstaff. Her talk, entitled “Democrats Against Agenda 21,” was sponsored by NAU College Republicans. During the 1992 Earth Summit in Rio de Janeiro, the United Nations adopted Agenda 21 as part of a global plan to combat climate change. At that time, 179 countries, including the United States, voted to adopt the non-binding program. It was signed during George H.W. Bush’s presidency and has been supported by every president since.

According to the U.N.’s website, “Agenda 21 is a comprehensive plan of action to be taken globally, nationally and locally by organizations of the United Nations System, Governments, and Major Groups in every area in which human impacts on the environment.”
