Clark was the son of Sen. Clark, owner of the United Verde Copper Company, the copper smelter and the town of Clarkdale. Over time, the exact location of the crash faded from memory until it was rediscovered by Jess Valdez, Clarkdale resident, and Jim Byrkit, a Flagstaff historian.

Meet in the Men’s Lounge in the Clarkdale clubhouse at 2:30 p.m., located at the rear of the Clarkdale Town Center, off N. Ninth Street. For information on this or other no test, no grades, no pressure learning group opportunities, contact the OLLI Verde Valley office, at 634-5550.
