Sedona City Council meets Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 4:30 p.m. for its regular meeting to take a crack at items that it has seen before:

  •  2008-09 council budget goals. The City Manager’s Office requests council set guidelines early in the budget process so the office can proceed under them.
  •  Trash haulers. In May 2007, council directed city staff to explore franchise residential garbage and recycling services within city limits. Further discussion regarding concerns of service providers and possible action is expected.

Sedona City Council meets Tuesday, Jan. 8, at 4:30 p.m. for its regular meeting to take a crack at items that it has seen before.
Items include:

 

  •  2008-09 council budget goals. The City Manager’s Office requests council set guidelines early in the budget process so the office can proceed under them.
  •  Trash haulers. In May 2007, council directed city staff to explore franchise residential garbage and recycling services within city limits. Further discussion regarding concerns of service providers and possible action is expected.
  •  Federal funds. City staff asked council to prioritize projects it wishes to seek federal money to fund.
  •  Sewer fees. Vice Mayor Jerry Frey requested city staff explain the current policy for collecting delinquent sewer fees and provide possible options for changing the current practice.
  •  Oak Creek bridge. Council will act on a resolution calling for the condemnation of an existing bridge over Oak Creek near Radisson Poco Diablo Resort to access private property. The U.S. Forest Service is currently undergoing the National Environmental Policy Act process for a separate bridge to access the same property as ordered by the U.S. District Court for the District of Arizona.
