That has been my mantra for many years. I expect the energy field that surrounds us, is everywhere, including within us, to treat me gently, make things easy, and keep me comfortable and safe. Having faith in divine timing allows everything to flow from one thing to the next, without the anxiety and fear so many attach to time, as things happen when they are supposed to, and all is ultimately well.

Basically, I believe that God is good and our outcomes have a lot to do with what we co-create by our intention. Quantum physics has proven that. Check your thoughts against your outcomes.

If you wish scientific backup, watch the DVD The Living Matrix. Translations in the Bible concur that, “Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours.” So believing is the key. The other key is not living with fingers crossed in hope for it in the future, but that it is already there for you, to be revealed.

Can you really believe that an elder of 120 years, in hospice, with all systems shut down, will jump up as a healthy 18 year old? But we can believe that the highest outcome we are able to truly perceive, can be received. Sometimes we can be general and proclaim whatever is in the best and highest interests, trusting God will take that into manifestation, even if that may include returning to where we came from; home in God and family; fresh, new, and hopefully more enlightened and evolved.

So join me in expecting your hours and days to be easy, gentle, comfortable and safe. Occurring in the right time. In fact let’s add, surrounded by love. I’ve asked you before, are you ready to live a miraculous life? That takes belief. So put your toe in the water, so to speak, and test the waters with small things first. One step at a time builds faith.

This mantra of intent can cover all you do in your days. Yes, it includes finding that parking space, but it means driving to the area where you desire to park, versus expecting you won’t find it so only driving to places you will default to. It also works by parting people in front of you as you walk. Now mind you it’s not by saying inside yourself, get out of the way, but instead by knowing that the grace of God makes your way easy and clear, always being mindful of gratefulness toward the good of God for all.

Consider, also, that when things show up which aren’t easy, gentle, comfortable or safe, have you really believed this all for you, truly? Then consider that there has been a higher reason for what occurs, and ask, what is the lesson or gift I’ve been given? And go through the situation as easily, gently, comfortably and safely as you can. Notice how timing plays out, too. Remember it doesn’t necessarily mean staying and suffering.

My affirmation is embedded within my consciousness, nicely. Just like we needed to learn over and over, plus do our homework, to remember that 1 plus 1 equals 2, it’s helpful to start out by writing a sticky note in places to remind us of this spiritual law equation. It can be expanded upon, such as when finding one’s self around gossipy, negative, sour, unappreciative or disrespectful people, to move through your own energy field easily, gently, comfortably and safely, as divine timing continues whispering to you, what to do, when.

Expand your field of positivity by ‘seeing’ them as healthy, peaceful and prosperous, rather than leave your God life view and resemble their ‘unenlightened’ (not in the light) thinking. See issues as resolved. And walk through your way amid whatever is occurring, easily..to what needs to be the highest outcome. There is a tarot card, called the Hermit, which shows what seems to be a bearded, cloaked, person carrying a light, looking down from a peaceful place, lighting our way. Carry the light within, and that is your guided protected field.

Many times one’s negativity comes from being infused with negativity around them, which can affect their consciousness keeping negativity alive, can affect their health poorly, draw them to people who are also drawing negatives mirroring their energy, keep them from expecting that things can get better, keep them in a perception of lack instead of counting their blessings, and put people ‘down,’ with focus on other’s traits that they don’t personally approve of, or understand, to make them feel better about themselves

Live with positive intention/expectation. Put your toe in the water. Test it out bit by bit. This is the path of the yellow brick road where you discover that the magic was inside you all along.

This is the title of a book by Terry Cole-Whittaker, written about 23 years ago, which brought out a great revelation and a lot of healing. Back then it was a foreign concept to our everyday way of thinking. All these years later, it is still a new truth to grasp, for many.

Generations ago, people were ‘fortunate’ fitting in to narrow standards of acceptability. Not being born to money meant you’d never be accepted in upper class status. Divorce was taboo. Why should women vote when their opinions were considered frivolous? Not being married or having children meant being less of a woman. Were you the acceptable color or religion? People hid their unpopular differences if they could. Being gay is only relatively recently out of the closet.

Then and now, if the popular kids (who fit in to narrow standards like athletic or looking a certain way) teased you at school in the comfort of their group support, because you wore glasses, were quiet, under or over the standard weight, didn’t have label clothing, etc. you may have felt badly about yourself. Maybe relatives were criticizing or not emotionally fulfilling you.

Many have grown up still carrying emotional bruises, craving a group accepting them, and maybe that group isn’t empowering each others’ spiritual enlightenment, but encouraging each other to becoming the bully, themselves, to feel empowered.

Some people may not like you because you live in integrity, honesty, and by fair rules for all. That may not be usual for them; they may be perceiving you from their belief that no one really strives to live that way; everyone is inherently cruel, so may think you believe you are high and mighty, and fake.

You may prefer to keep away from gossip, pettiness, or may not be the chatty one needing to be highly social, and part of their group, so may be taken for stuck up, instead of simply quiet and happy with your own company.

Some may start rumors about you if you don’t live at the level of their standards, when you’ve asked them nicely to play fair by the rules that are in the best interest of all, or because you are not befriending them. They may verbally abuse you in front of others, or lie behind your back, based on false evidence because they are drunk, high, hateful, ignore truth, are power hungry, or jealous and/or fearful of losing their own grip on the opportunities they realize they are not handling well.

When we don’t have the consciousness of pride in being fair and thoughtful to others, knowing there is enough for everybody, and wishing everyone great success, we have lack and fear consciousness. That will attract itself right back and fulfill what one believes.

Whatever goes on, simply remember, God knows who you are and God knows about your goodness, so speak your truth as you see it, while being considerate of others. Living in inner peace and joy, surrounded by people who mirror your consciousness, is reward.

As the old saying goes, a favorite of my uncle’s when he emails his loved ones, ‘Don’t let the bastards get you down.’ My uncle has always, and continues to, live his life with integrity, intelligence, kindness, fairness and empowerment to all. So be the best You, knowing that you are being observed by God, and those that see and appreciate who you are. You are being true to, and good to, your Spirit. The bully is not being true to their spirit.

It goes for us all that when we know better, we will do better. And we’ll feel better! It’s really not about you; it’s about their energy. We forgive because we understand the emotions that await healing within themselves, by the only one who can allow it to happen. We unconditionally love, knowing their real spirit.

Have you been allowing others’ unkind actions to affect your spirit? What they think of you is not your business. The Desiderada says…”Go placidly amid the noise and haste and remember what peace there may be in silence. As far as possible, without surrender, be on good terms with all persons. Speak your truth quietly and clearly and listen to others; even the dull and ignorant; they too have their story.

“Avoid loud and aggressive persons; they are vexatious to the spirit…Be yourself. Especially do not feign affection…do not distress yourself with dark imaginings. ..Be gentle with yourself. You are a child of the universe, no less than the trees and the stars; you have a right to be here, …be at peace with God, whatever you conceive ‘him’ to be…In the noisy confusion of life keep peace in your soul. Be cheerful. Strive to be happy. “

The yin and yang of opposite energies (up/down, long/short, etc.) show that there will always be dark and light. So live in the light and observe the dark, but don’t take it on. Another famous book is titled The Four Agreements, by don Miguel Ruiz. They are: Be impeccable with your word. Don’t take anything personally. Don’t Make Assumptions. Always do your best.

Some people have lived in the same home all of their lives. On the other extreme, some have moved countless times. Some people are without a home sometime; and may be living in someone else’s home, in a shelter, in their car, or on the street.

No matter what circumstance you find yourself in, even if cozy in your own home, perhaps you don’t feel at home…in yourself.

‘They’ say home is where the heart is. Heart is everywhere because God is heart, and God is everywhere. In the desert, God is there. In the ocean God is there. In the mountains, God is there too. In the middle of a crisis, God is. There’s nowhere God isn’t. I’ve heard it said that within 50 feet of a poisonous plant is the antidote. Where there is a challenge, the solution is at hand too.

There are a multitude of ways people think about God. One school of thought is that God is ‘out there’ or can only be reached by prayer. Some were taught that God punishes; if things aren’t going right, ‘I must be a horrible person.’ Another belief is that God is on one group’s team and opposes all other teams. So, if I change teams, will God find me? If another team then convinces me otherwise, do I change again? God is built in to the hearts of all, Within Us; always available for grace, mentoring and forgiveness.

Many people are certain they know God. However, I don’t believe there is only one fit to what God feels like, from person to person. My own understanding is personal, yet shares great similarity in how my friends perceive God in their consciousness, including a constant and aware connection. Perhaps ours would be different than others’ ways. Yet, does anyone really know the whole ‘story?’

In trusting God, I am open to be shown my best path for happy growth in everything I do, like an enthusiastic apprentice admiring my mentor’s work, versus my trying to control people or situations, using the name of God in my favor, based on hardcore laws; some of which are outdated, having been written in less enlightened times, and written by, whom? Written by human people. People with their own, more primitive interpretive perceptions (way back then). We have evolved.

Here’s an example of an outdated law. How many of us use the term, ‘rule of thumb?’ Do you know that law says a man shall not beat his wife with a switch wider than his thumb?

As apprentice, my own work is key. As we grow in experience we hone ourselves. Living from the heart means honesty, integrity, thoughtfulness, patience, unconditional loving, and becoming your true and unique self. I don’t believe that God is prejudice in any shape or form. My desire is that all of us be kind to others; not just those who are like us, or who never commit an error (sin means mis-take so try again; re-pent) or those who have power or money to help you.

I believe God gives second, third and ongoing ‘chances’ to us all. And the chances/opportunities are about finding an alternative way to do or perceive things that feel better to the soul (versus one’s ego). This goes for the one making a mistake, and the one who made the mistake of judging the one making a mistake.

If you don’t believe that God is only good, you are perceiving negative, expecting negative and could be adding to the negative, even becoming depressed. Seeing with God’s eyes of only good lifts us out of the old ways of viewing each other, and treating each other, including Ourselves! How many let God’s eyes and ears of good be ours? Watch your heart open wider, feel your soul soar like never before, see the good and growth available in everything , but prepare yourself because living miraculously requires the ability to expect, and live in the natural flow of miracles, so that you realize they are the real reality, not ‘out there.’

Our spiritual mentor is everywhere, without judging, encouraging us to feel better within, by our God-given ability to decipher that, for instance, we might feel more loved if we treat others with love, or that we might live with less fear if we stop taking actions that bring fear to ourselves and others.

Hearing or seeing examples of how we can take a leap of faith and lift ourselves up, are all around us; what we overhear, inner hear, or read, what the radio or tv just showed, or watching and emulating how a seemingly peaceful person acts. See or hear something negative? Put your God spin on it. The Bible does say that in the beginning was the word, and the word was God and the word was good.

My desire is that we all listen to the divine loving guidance within and all around us (…if it’s not unconditional loving direction it’s likely our own learned negative judgments), and I desire that we all notice the markers on our best paths, and that we rest in peace in the living of life each and every moment, knowing all timing is divine, so we can relax, and knowing that all experiences have a great lesson enabling us to evolve in joy.

Ask what the gift is. Even when there is a challenging experience. Ask. Perhaps it won’t be re-experienced over and over, in order for God to tap your shoulder again, hoping you’ll get it this time. Can you expect the miraculous yet? Ah, that ethereal shoulder tap from God that is everywhere, in our heart; our home.

If we’ll take the time to go back and track how we got to this part of our lives, whatever it seems like, we have to connect the dots. I’ll give you some examples of mine, and perhaps it will encourage you to look back and see what got you where you are.

You may have judged that some dots in your past were highly unpleasant and unfair, but let’s see where they led you. I had an emotionally challenging relationship experience many years (seems like lifetimes) ago, which had me feeling very sad, and not too good about myself, based on what the fellow in my romantic relationship began saying to me. He had started drinking when he realized that it was time for us to return his young son to his first wife, from a teen pregnancy-related marriage, per their agreement. That loss and subsequent coddling himself with the bottle, led to ugly behavior and words.

Substance abuse can take away a person’s clear thinking and hurt others, as well as clearly hurting their own self. If someone is relying on what others think and say about them, hurtful words can lower one’s self esteem, and lower them into a pit. That was the young and naïve me. When I chose to help myself, I reached out and found support groups, making some friends for life. I also went to Al Anon meetings and learned I needed to focus on my own issues; though I had gone to fix him, as so many think they can do. We cannot.

Al Anon began a deep spiritual awakening, and a friend brought me to her spiritual gathering place of emotional and soul growth and healing. That enlightened insight became my diving board into the peace that I have had for decades, which people remark about. That is what I have been ministering about and giving classes and spiritual counsel about, for decades.

Here’s another. I was attending a pot luck gathering in Paradise Valley for more education about my precious medicine-grade essential oils. After 18 years loving them, and sharing with others about their natural immediate benefits of relief and steadfast vitality, I was thrilled to meet the doctor who co-founded the American Holistic Medical Association, and had written books about these precious healing gems. I had quoted him for years and now we were having dinner together.

Upon learning I lived in Sedona he asked if I would do him a favor to find a real estate agent of integrity who could get him into the right and perfect home, so that he could come here summers. Of course, I was happy to do so. I was looking for a more upscale rental home of my own, and in driving by a potential rental, there was a man outside washing his car. I inquired if he knew about the rental next door, which he did. I noticed he had a real estate sign by his own driveway and that he was a broker agent.

I was impressed by his wonderful demeanor, (and he was nice looking to boot), so I phoned some days later to see if he could help this doctor find a home. We exchanged emails and his character continued to be refined and polite. At last we met for coffee to get the doctor on the phone with him, and discuss potential homes he had reviewed by email. Afterward, we stayed and continued to get to know each other. We were both delighted with each others’ integrity and demeanor, so eventually we did a hike together, then lunches and more; always having each others’ best interests at heart and sharing suggestions for each others’ career benefit. He suggested I contact the Red Rock News to see about sharing my positive spiritual writing with you all. After being invited to submit previous writings I had been doing through the years, I was honored to learn that I was their selection, to write positive spiritual articles, available to be read on their worldwide website, and the rest is history.

We continued as caring friends, and he fell in love…with a wonderful gal just perfect for him. Did you think this was going to be my Cinderella story? That was not in the cards, and The one will show when divine timing reveals it. I still cherish his friendship.

We play a role in each other’s lives, so let it be from integrity and unconditional, nonjudgmental loving (and forgiveness); your God-given human design. Each person playing a part in your puzzle has been a gift, even if in disguise, to empower yourself and lift yourself to your higher self.

As you live dot to dot, you can view everyone and every situation as your blessing. Therein lies your peace.

A couple of months ago, there were a few small setbacks right in a row, which, by the grace of God are not usual for me, and though things generally roll off my back, as I’m a serene person, I’m also a sensitive, so on a deeper level  the events/people may drain some energy. I became tired. More tired than usual several times throughout the day, then it lasted day after day, then a week, then almost another week.

With any situation making an effort to get my attention, I examine the inner and outer for possible understanding and growth, and always remember that God has our best interests at heart. I saw a couple of valid astrological explanations for slowed down energy and those challenges, therefore was able to also know a date when that would lift.

I’d been working out at my gym several times a week, and though I didn’t intuitively believe my physical being was in crisis, to be thorough I met with my licensed medical doctor who specializes in synergy and energy, and affirmed my physical parts were nothing to be concerned about, and sought only to again raise my thyroid function, which had been an easy, natural ongoing process. But that wasn’t the real cause, either.

Was there more stress or pressure in my life than usual; too many things on my mind? Well, yes, I had been doing a lot of research about when to begin an extensive trip and what to do on that trip. Date potential seemed to be a window of up to two months from then, having to be timed around other people who invited me to stay with them, or who were going to be in the same area only for a day; or only available certain hours, so I had to wait on their schedules and decisions. Other hotels and appointments I wanted to firm up, required advance time to make them happen well. There were a lot of plates to balance in the air and my trip was dangling in a multitude of holding patterns.  Was that it?

Always having faith that God is divine timing and everything works out, I just went with the flow of tired, not resisting, rather happily responding to what God desired from me then. Maybe this great rest was to store up for the big trip.

Well, once information began coming in and getting honed down bit by bit, I had my dates; it would be right away, and so began the magic of pulling everything together.

My energy returned to a greater degree; I was becoming excited with positive energy, and pushing the throttle forward to begin the great trip. I had learned a lesson on my recent travels six months ago, that I needed luggage which could attach pieces to each other, because I take a lot with me, and can’t handle every item separately, if I desire it all to efficiently move fluidly together with my every step. I bought new luggage, planned my outfits for every experience, had some clothing alterations, and at the last minute got a garment bag. What an inspiration…keep clothes on the hanger and lay them out in my car since it was a car trip. All appointments were firmed up, and off I went on a grand and thrilling adventure.

Once on the long, extensive trip I saw that each day required me to get up earlier than I was used to, that I was fully engaged every moment throughout each day and night, also not the usual for me, and time left me with less sleep many nights than I usually would have needed. So the intuitive thoughts which had come to me, were all useful. Having been fully loaded and charged with rest long before I began, I was up for the tremendous discharge of energy every day and every night.

Sometimes it’s just good to test our faith in God, go with what we’re given, listen to our lovely intuitive thoughts that we’re all given, always think positive, and see the revelations when they naturally come.

God is in charge, is divine timing, divine action, and always has our best interests at heart. Knowing that, and having faith in God, is the best way to go through our life’s journey.

I’m recently home in Sedona from a long business and pleasure trip throughout California and Las Vegas. Only by coincidence did I see the walk of fame celebrity stars imbedded in the sidewalk outside Grauman’s Chinese Theatre, driving to the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel across the street, for an appointment.

I had never been to Las Vegas, and felt called to start there, which would enable me to break up an 8 hour drive to LA, into two four-hour stints.

What a Welcome to Las Vegas. It was just nighttime, and as I turned onto ‘the strip’ the voice of Andrea Bocelli thrilled me, with my first sight the Bellagio’s water show. I pulled over, enjoyed, then drove up and down the strip in awe and loved it.

I had a spiritual appointment in the morning, then next to celebrity hair colorist Michael Boychuck at his salon in Caesar’s Palace. Before leaving I was given hair coloring recommendation, and got a couple of hair products. Later I spent hours in The Venetian, enjoying the fresco paintings in the style of the Sistine Chapel on the ceiling, and having an outdoor gondola ride being sung to by my gondolier. The light show over the façades of replicated famous Venetian buildings was gorgeous and musically moving.

Once in LA, first thing in the morning I met with celebrity hair colorist Michael Canale (creator of Jennifer Aniston’s famous hairstyle, ‘the Rachel’ from TV’s “Friends”) who, along with his client, bought many Young Living medicine-grade essential oils from me. I also met with famous hairstylists Joseph Kendall and Martin Fassnidge, of Joseph Martin on Rodeo Drive. I gave everyone my brand of positive spiritual insight.

I was treated to the Hollywood Bowl for the 100th anniversary of Paramount Pictures with the HB orchestra led by David Newman, and we had good seats. Comedian and six time emmy award winner Bruce Vilanch walked by, and in front of us was a famous Hollywood couple whose names we couldn’t remember. Jason Alexander was our moderator and Lalo Schifrin spoke after we watched some of Mission Impossible backed by his dramatic theme song.

I ate often at the well-known Nate & Al’s Delicatessen in Beverly Hills. Each time I was surrounded by movie, TV and music industry people, but the only name I know, is Jada Pinkett Smith.

Malibu was beautiful, as were the beaches of Redondo, Manhattan, Hermosa and Rancho Palos Verdes where I sat in Frank Lloyd Wright’s Wayfarer’s Chapel overlooking the Pacific. In Encinitas I spent time at Paramahansa Yogananda’s Self Realization Fellowship Temple’s meditation gardens, right on the Pacific. I gave spiritual counsel in beautiful Carlsbad.

Told to not miss The Grove, divine timing had me arrive just in time to be in the camera range for TV’s “Extra” host Maria Menounos to interview the cast of the new show, “The New Normal.” Did you see me on TV?

I saw the hilarious musical from NYC, ‘Silence, the Musical’, based on Silence of the Lambs, and met my friend’s son, Nate Patten, the musical director/conductor. Seeing his mom and her sister for the first time since I was 10, was a thrill for me.

The best I save for last, and it was perhaps the most entrancing, soul-lifting spiritual experience I have ever had in a metaphysical setting. I was taken to Agape in Culver City, led by the famous spiritual icon, Michael Beckwith. He’s in the movie, The Secret, and I had seen him on Oprah years ago. We sat through the meditation service before more people streamed in, and we had good seats. It was beautifully decorated and backlit in light turquoise and green; artwork donning walls.

The building was somewhat dimly lit for relaxation and music began with incredible solo singers backed by a great band on the stage; one singer after another and we all were clapping and singing along sometimes, seeing the words on movie screens showing the person performing. Not songs that are slow and repetitive, that can drone on, but jazzy soul music that is not outside of many’s comfort zones. Music that stimulated our feelings of elevated bliss more and more.

By the time Michael Beckwith went into his passionate and rousing spiritual service we were already raised within, having had plenty of time singing of God’s gifts, listening to great singers, and connecting with each other. There wasn’t mention of any individual religious icon, as in whom to worship above any other; simply the unifying feeling of the greatness of the one God presence which is within everyone.

If I can translate, it would be to say that instead of seeing only cause and effect from what most believe is reality…i.e. problems, to start with content, instead. Content being identifying what we have within and around us; the beauty, art, graciousness, perfect flow and movement, connection with divine timing, gratitude, generosity, abundance, love, respect, integrity, peace, creativity, miraculous experience, joy and more that is God. That is our content. And when we create cause from that truth; that content, effect is miraculous, loving, creative, peaceful, joyous, etc. Personally I cherish living that way, and desire that for all of us to know and live from.

Straight from Agape, a farewell lunch with my cousin, then back to Vegas. I received the thrill of the full Caesar’s Palace experience, had several spiritual appointments, and received the supreme iconic gift of pumping gas next to an Elvis impersonator on my way to dinner with a friend. Every person I spent time with on my journey, was lovely lovely lovely. Then it was time to drive Miss Daisy Rachel back home to famous Sedona.
