Along with extensive repairs, a new sign and a reopening, The Raw Café, on Hwy. 89A, is now known as Café Bliss and Chocolate.

Business owners Jim Bottarini, Kelly Johnson, Keri Crick and Debbie Crick created a rainbow of color and newness after the “storm.” Locals and visitors will be delighted to see the colorful additions and improvements.

The menu will continue to serve raw and living vegan items, daily specials and beverages along with raw chocolates and desserts.

Added to the menu will be organic beer and biodynamic farmed wine. Biodynamic farming techniques use the vineyard’s natural resources to cultivate the highest quality grapes possible without the use of pesticides, fungicides, herbicides, synthetic fertilizers, growth stimulants or genetically modified organisms. A vineyard that is certified biodynamic meets and typically exceeds the standards and regulations for organic certified farming.

In addition to the colorful redo, “Bliss,” as part of the name on the new sign, was suggested by many customers after eating the food and chocolates. A garden located on the premises, planted in April, will provide much of the café’s organic produce this season.

Café Bliss and Chocolates, 1595 W. Hwy. 89A, across from Ace Hardware, is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. For more information, call           282-2997.
