2009 – Sedona real estate in review

By now all media have dropped their year-end stories – but we’ve just gotten the data compiled for the health of the Sedona real estate market for 2009. I’ve got all the graphs and data posted at the Sedona Real Estate Market Monthly Update site. Statistics show that we bottomed out in January of 2009 and things have steadily gotten better since then.  Previous years sales data shows a very volatile market in the past, but starting this year, we’ve gotten much more consistent and it’s been trending upwards most of this year.Â
But who cares about the overall market… what does it mean for you?!?! Well, if you’re a buyer, all the details mean that you’re still in the drivers seat – but our inventory numbers are shrinking (down 20% over the last 9 months). So, the best deals are going fast – if you’re looking to cash in on a down market – don’t hesitate – now’s your time! If you’re selling – make sure that your agent has you priced in line with the current market demand and you’ll get showings and an offer!
