Harmony on the Rocks chorus, the Sedona chapter of the Barbershop Harmony Society, has announced its 14th annual concert and show, The Amazing History and Absolute Importance of the Barber Pole, will be brought to the public without charge through the generosity of Friends of Music, Church of the Red Rocks.

The concert will be held Sunday, Nov. 12, at 2 p.m. at Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bowstring Drive, which is located just off State Route 179 in Sedona.

Enjoy the antics of the chorus along with songs in the barbershop style as only this chorus can do them. There will be a few “ahha” musical moments, according to chapter president Robert Butterworth, who said, “You will know the songs when you hear them, so I’ll not spoil them by giving them away.”

From within the chorus, two quartets — SurroundSound and The Temps — will delight the audience with their offerings. The concert’s featured guest is Renaissance, the Far Western District 2017 Champion Senior quartet. Everyone is invited to come and enjoy a fun-filled musical afternoon.

Harmony on the Rocks rehearses every Wednesday evening from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Church of the Red Rocks. Those who are motivated by the show and are interested in experiencing what barbershop singing is all about are invited to come to a rehearsal.
