Sedona’s chapter of the Sweet Adelines, Red RockAppella, are readying their voices for the group’s sixth annual Holiday Show.

The four-part, barber-shop style women’s chorus was founded in 2006. The women have entertained audiences in Sedona and the surrounding communities with their tight harmony sung without instrumentation. The group’s membership is currently 18 women from Sedona, Cottonwood and the Verde Valley, Flagstaff and Prescott. Several are charter members.

“This is our main show of the year. Although it’s our holiday show, not all of the songs will be for the holidays. We’ll do some of our standard pieces that people love, and we’ll include several carols. We even have one for Hanukkah,” said Sandy Wingate, the director of the chorus for the past 4½ years and a charter member.

The show, “Music! Music! Music!” will be Sunday, Dec. 2, at 2 p.m. in the Church of the Red Rocks, 54 Bowstring Drive. Tickets are $15. People can buy tickets at Bashas’, Webers IGA, from a Red RockAppella member, or call Jan at by calling 284-9978.
