A Sedona tennis professional has been selected to coach the Southwest team in an upcoming national tournament.

Larry Lineberry, a teaching professional in the Verde Valley for 20 years, will coach the Southwest Boys and Girls age 16 and younger Zonal Team. The team will compete Wednesday through Sunday, July 25 through July 29, in Salt Lake City against other U.S. Tennis Association section teams from across the country. He previously coached this team in 2007.

“I am delighted to coach the Zonal Team again and represent the Southwest in this important competition,” Lineberry said. “This is an opportunity for these players to compete nationally and for college coaches to see the talent in our section.”
