Abby Stevenson
Scorpions Volleyball Player

Where are you from?
Sedona.

What sports do you play?
I do track and field and volleyball.

Which is your favorite? Why?
Track. I meet new people from all different schools.

The worst part?
I don’t have a worst part.

What’s your favorite thing to do when you’re not playing sports?
Hang out with friends or visit my grandparents.

Favorite television show?
“Tanked.”

Favorite food?
Salads.

What do you aspire to be when you’re older?
Either an Olympian [track and field] or a really famous makeup artist.

What kinds of valuable lessons have sports taught you?
To respect your coaches and work together as a team.

How do you balance sports, school, family and social life?
I’m home-schooled so it’s pretty easy.

Do you have any pregame routines or superstitions?
Not really.

What kind of past experiences have you had that motivated you to work harder?
Probably seeing my friends get injured in sports makes me want to work harder. Help them through it, if that makes sense.

Who’s the most influential person in your life?
Probably my dad or my grandpa. They’re both really good role models and I’m a lot like them in certain ways.

Is there a memorable match or race you’ve had in your career?
Most memorable match was probably at our tournament when we won our last game and we were all really tired at the NAU camp. We played five back-to-back games. It was crazy.
