Overmatched Scorpions baseball team loses to Marauders |

The Scorpions baseball team started the season in a not-so-ideal way, but the young team has potential to mark up wins once the players start to put in the effort that the coaches likely know they have.

The Sedona Red Rock Scorpions [0-1] lost to the rival Mingus Union Marauders [1-0] on opening day of the 2013 season Friday, Feb. 22, at Mingus Union High School, in a shortened five-inning game, 10-0.
“We did not execute,” Scorpions Head Coach Randy Hafner said after a scrimmage against Williams, three days before the first game of the season. “The effort was not where it needed to be.”
