The Kirkham children continue to make a name for themselves in the world of Old West action shooting.

Cody Kirkham, 12, placed second in the Buckaroo category — age 13 and under — and placed 57th overall, in the top 10 percent, at the 2013 Winter Range National Championships. The competition took place the week of Feb. 25, at the Ben Avery Shooting Facility in Phoenix.

Kirkham, a student at Big Park Community School, was among 743 of the best Cowboy Action shooters representing 49 states and 13 countries.
