The Big Park Community School baseball team is looking to take that bitter taste of getting knocked out of the state championship twice in a row out of its mouth and its first two big wins of the season are proved it is serious about it.
The Coyotes are now 2-0 after beating West Sedona School 13-0 on Tuesday, March 5, at West Sedona, and beating Clarkdale-Jerome School 10-2 at home Thursday, March 7.
“Everybody did their part, everyone carried a little bit of weight and with it,” Head Coach Matt Schumacher said. “I think that’s the most successful piece.”
At the team’s first home game of the 2013 season, Schumacher told his players in the dugout to have fun; but not be hard on themselves, to be aggressive; but not be stupid, and to put themselves in last week’s game.
