The Coyotes’ perfect season came to an abrupt end in the last three seconds of the championship finals.
With more than a sell-out crowd in the gym, the Coyotes faced competition they hadn’t faced all season when they stepped onto the court with Many Farms. Good teamwork got Big Park a 10-6 lead by the end of first quarter. For the full story, please see the Wednesday, Feb. 13, issue of the Sedona Red Rock News. |

The Big Park Community School girls basketball team lost by one point in the Arizona Small Schools Girls Basketball Championships Final to the Many Farms Cougars, 37-36, on Saturday, Feb. 9, at Clarkdale-Jerome School.
It was the Coyotes’ only loss of the season and the first time a Verde Valley school had made it to the state finals in the 27-year history of the tournament.
