While the news never sleeps, takes a holiday or goes on vacation; those who bring it to you do.

Larson Newspapers will give its busy elves a few days to kick back and put their feet up this holiday season, which means we’ll be working double-time before hand to make that possible.

As the pace in our workshop pushes full-steam ahead, we ask the public to do its best to keep up with us. We’ve moved our display advertising, classifieds, columns and news deadlines up to make sure we get your advertisement or news item well before the production elves are ready to put the newspaper together.

Our offices in Camp Verde, Sedona and Cottonwood will be open Saturday, Dec. 22, and closed Sunday, Dec. 23, until Wednesday, Dec. 26. They will reopen at the regular time Dec. 26.

The following week, our offices will again be open Saturday, Dec. 29, and closed Sunday, Dec. 30, until Wednesday, Jan. 2. Offices open at their regular times Jan. 2 and hours return to normal.

■ Classified advertising due by 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21.

■ News items and columns due by 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 20.

For the Wednesday, Dec. 26, edition of the Sedona Red Rock News:

■ Display advertisements due by noon Thursday, Dec. 20.

■ Classified advertising due by 3 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 21.

■ News items and columns due by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 19.

As is always true with submission, anything received after our deadlines won’t appear in the newspaper. During the holidays, more than ever, it’s important to get your advertisements, press releases, columns and letters to the editor in early so they have a better chance of making it into print.
