Retired U.S. Air Force Lt. Col. Thomas David Tedrick, 78, of Cottonwood, died Jan. 7.

Tedrick served as a pilot during the Vietnam War and was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross and eight air medals. After retirement, he volunteered with the Peace Corps in Jamaica.

He was preceded in death by his brother Daniel and daughter Teri.

He is survived his wife Ann; sons David of Camp Verde and Steven [Amy] of Sedona; grandsons Ethan and Ari; and sister Polly Betterton of Mesa.
