Stefan Madar

Stefan Madar, of Sedona, died Feb. 13.

He was a World War II veteran officer in his native country of Slovakia. For over 20 years he was caught up in a forced exile from his native country, as well as from his family. After two decades of forced separation, the family was reunited in 1969 in Cleveland.

He is survived by wife Alice Madar; sons Ivan and Dusan Madar; grandsons Boris and Alexander Madar.
