Roy W. Johnson

Roy W. Johnson, of Sedona, died Feb. 3. He was born in Groveland, Calif., on May 20, 1928.

Johnson traveled through Oak Creek Canyon in the 1940s and fell in love with the area. He and his wife Elsie bought land in the 1950s and retired here in 1985.

He is survived by his four children Sandra, Bill, Jack, and Denise; 11 grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
