James Ross Schwartz

The Rev. James "Jim" Ross Schwartz, 66, of the Village of Oak Creek, died sometime after his disappearance Oct. 19, in Woods Canyon. His body was found April 7.

He is survived by his wife Karen Schwartz; children Jeremiah, Alexandra and Samantha Schwartz; sister Jean Burkheimer; and niece Heidi Sanders.

A memorial celebration will be held Saturday, May 5, 3 p.m., at Christ Lutheran Church, 25 Chapel Road. Memorials may be directed through Christ Lutheran and designated for Lutheran World Relief or the church’s Mission Endowment Fund.
