Longtime Sedona resident and restaurateur René F. Baudat died at Flagstaff Medical Center on May 7, following a rollover accident on April 20.
A decorated Korean War veteran, Baudat worked for American Airlines and Holland America Cruise Lines as a chef and had restaurants in Denver and Aspen, Colo., before he and his wife, Jan, started René at Tlaquepaque in 1977.

A memorial service will be held in June.

Baudat is survived by his son, Michael, and grandaughter, Michelle.
