Pieter Horstman, 85, of Sedona, died Dec. 20.

He was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Rottendam, Netherlands, the son of Walter and Jocoba (Bringman) Horstman.

Horstman was a freelance painter. He also was a traveler and enjoyed camping.

He leaves his wife Elsje K. Horstman; son Sjors Horstman; daughter Louise Laverante and one grandchild.

Private family services were in Sedona.
