Milton Louis Sherwood died Feb. 15, in Flagstaff. He was 83.

Following high school he joined the U.S. Navy and served in World War II.

He later opened Sherwood Jewelers in Cottonwood.

He is survived by his wife Dorothy of Sedona; son Mark Sherwood (Mary) of Cottonwood; daughter Nanette Girvin of Sedona; five grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son Ronald Sherwood in 2006.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, Feb. 19, 3 p.m., at Greer’s Mortuary of Sedona.
