Mary Josephine Emmons, 96, of Sedona, died Jan. 2.

Emmons was born April 3, 1916, in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.

A Sedona resident for 49 years, she was preceded in death by her husband Burton Emmons.

She is survived by her children Donald Emmons of Garden Grove, Calif. and Lynn Emmons of Norco, Calif.; five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.

A graveside service was held at the Sedona Community Cemetary on Friday, Jan. 4.
