Leora Lawlor McCarthy Ortiz, 95, died Aug. 21.

Born July 27, 1915, in Dallas, she lived in Missouri, California and Oregon before coming to Sedona in 2001.

Preceded in death by husbands Lawrence McCarthy and Charles Ortiz, she is survived by son Larry McCarthy (Betty), daughters Jeane Ray (Norm) and Leanne Seiverd, and 12 grandchildren.
She is remembered by family and friends for her strength, art and humor, Sunday dinner and Monday card games.

Services will be held in Oceanside, Calif.
