Joy K. Shinn, of Sedona, died Jan. 31, 2011.

Shinn was active in Friends of the Forest, the Sedona Police Department and Potter’s Hand Productions.
Make donations to the Sedona or San Marco, Fla., humane societies.

Shinn is survived by her loving husband of 52 years, Fred, daughter Debra, son Kurt, sister Kris, brother Stan and two grandsons, Max and Mason.

A celebration of life will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at 10 a.m.
