John Edward Stamm died Feb. 11 after a brief illness.

He served in the Navy during World War II. He was a pilot and flew off the aircraft carrier USS Enterprise.

He is survived by wife, Kathleen; sisters Elizabeth Roberts, Mary Pat Harris and Nancy Manschot; children Mary Christine Stamm, John Jr. and David; stepchildren Bret Crewson and Alison Howard; and six grandchildren and step-grandchildren.

Funeral Mass will be held at St. John Vianney Catholic Church, 180 Soldier Pass Road, 11 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 28.
