John “Jack” B. Carter, 65, died Nov. 24, at Veterans Affairs Hospice in Prescott.

Carter was born in Maryville, Tenn., July 26, 1947. Carter and his wife retired to Sedona in 2000.

Carter is survived by his wife Janice; stepdaughters Tempera McCarron and Sienna McCarron; brothers Chris and Jon Carter; and sister Marybeth.

Services will be held Dec. 7, at 1 p.m. at the VA chapel at Fort Whipple in Prescott.

Donate to the Humane Society of Sedona, in memory of Jack Carter.
