Hugh C. Barefoot Sept. 21, 1921 — May 12, 2008 Hugh Cameron Barefoot, 86, of Rimrock, died May 12. Born in New Orleans, Barefoot joined the U.S. Navy in 1941 and taught the first all-black class of Navy students. He and his family moved to Prescott in 1975. Barefoot was preceded in death by sons Clyde and Brian; and is survived by his wife, Betty; sons Bruce, Keith and Geoffrey Barefoot and Stephen Allgrove; daughters Bonnie Coster and Stacey Barefoot; four grandchildren; a niece. No local services are planned.
